Food Stamps versus EBT Cards

Do you think the new EBT card, which replaced physical food stamps, has reduced the embarrassment of paying with what were once paper stamps at the supermarket checkout? Or could it be that a little embarrassment might actually be a good thing for those using EBT cards—perhaps leading to less exploitation of the system that provides free benefits? What do you think?
